Research and Popular Education

We believe that knowledge is power and that information in the hands of grassroots movements can change the path of globalization.

IAP is committed to providing critical information on rights, risks and resistance strategies for communities facing diverse forms of displacement.   We work closely with community partners to design and distribute multi-media educational materials to support community-led campaigns for justice.

We also strive to serve as a bridge between academia and activists to ensure that cutting-edge findings inform our advocacy and educational work, and in turn that communities’ experiences inform academic research.  To see examples of the information we provide, visit our Tools and Resources page.  Go to IAP's Know Your Rights! webpage for information on the fundamental rights of people threatened by forced eviction and loss of livelihood in the name of development.
