The IAP Team


IAP is composed of a diverse and dedicated team of individuals.  Each of us brings a unique background and set of skills to the work; all of us share a whole-hearted commitment to global social justice and accountability.

Joanna Levitt, Executive Director
Joanna joined IAP in 2006. Before coming to IAP, Joanna worked with the Centro de Derechos Económicos y Sociales (CDES) in Ecuador, where she conducted research on implementing the right to free, prior informed consent (FPIC) through a Fulbright grant.

Molly Clinehens, Program Coordinator
Molly joined IAP in February of 2007. Prior to working with IAP, Molly worked with the International Potato Center in Lima, Perú, and completed an advocacy video about urban agriculture with the support of a Fulbright Scholarship.

Kathy Ferguson, Operations Coordinator
Kathy brings her experience in non-profit systems and fundraising to IAP. Her prior work has allowed her to be an activist for feminism, health care equity, independent media, the right to housing, and sustainable agriculture.

Kate Hoshour, Senior Research Fellow
Cathy ("Kate") Hoshour received a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from Harvard University in 2000. She has conducted extended field research in Indonesia focusing on state-directed resettlement, involuntary displacement, ethnic and land politics, and development practices and premises.

Gigi Mao, Summer Research Fellow 2010
Gigi is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Global Policy Studies at the LBJ School of Public Affairs in Austin, Texas. She is excited about conducting field research this summer in Laos on the International Finance Corporation's advisory services and their environmental and social impacts.

Madeleine Hamlin, Summer 2010 Program Intern
Madeleine Hamlin is a senior at UC Berkeley, double-majoring in Peace & Conflict Studies, with a concentration in Human Rights, and English. She is excited to join the IAP team this summer and assist with a variety of program and operations projects.

Dana Clark, President and Founder
Dana Clark is a human rights and environmental lawyer who specializes in working at both the grassroots and international levels to promote justice and accountability in the context of international development projects.

Tracy Perkins, IAP Consultant
Tracy Perkins is a consultant for IAP and a Ph.D. student in Sociology at UC Santa Cruz. She has 10 years of experience in popular education and creating accessible resources for grassroots communities.
