Our advocacy work around international policy must be grounded in and informed by project-specific cases.
We prioritize spending time on the ground working directly with partner communities. We work in solidarity with affected peoples to directly challenge the projects that threaten them with involuntary resettlement, loss of livelihood and loss of community. Read
personal reflections from IAP staff, fellows and volunteers during
their travels to communities where international finance of destructive
development projects is having devastating impacts on the ground.
Our project campaigns are chosen based on our strategic objectives and how the project will impact communities’ rights in the context of potential forced displacement. IAP strives to work with local, national and international partners in each of our project campaigns and to draw policy messages that can be used in broader advocacy efforts.
